party time!

Kaneu's Big Birthday Bash was a success! The party was fun, the kids had a blast AND it didn't rain - hooray!! At one point it looked as though the skies would open up and pour down on us, but thankfully it passed and the sun actually came out. We had about 20 kids and it went really well. Phew! The bouncy castle was a huge hit. Kaneu started getting a little tired towards the end, but he did a great job handing out the party bags and thanking his guests for coming to his party. I can't believe our little guy is turing 4!

We leave for Greece on Friday and we are all really excited. The moms are coming along and Cara is flying in tomorrow morning. It should be a week of fun in the Med sun - yeehaw!!

school's out for summer!

Kaneu's last day of school/party was Friday. The theme was International Festival and all the kids wore costumes from their native homeland while the parents brought traditional dishes to share. Kaneu wore his Hanbok and looked so handsome. He loves his school so much and has made many friends. One of the things I love about this school is the diversity. There are so many countries and cultures represented - Japan, Australia, Pakistan, India, Spain, Czech Republic, Russia, US, Canada, Denmark, Zimbabwe, Sweden and Korea. I am sure I left some out, but you get the picture!

His music teacher, Liz, is one his favorites. When he's home he loves to play his guitar and pretend he's the teacher.

this week ...

What a week it's been! Brian has been in the US since last Monday. His Nana passed away and he flew home to attend her services and spend time the family. He arrives home Monday morning and we are so excited to have him back. We both miss him terribly. Grammy Sue and Meme arrive tonight. They are flying in for Kaneu's birthday festivities which are next weekend. Kaneu is beside himself with excitement. I am so glad that relief is on the way. This singe mom stuff is really hard work. Thankfully we've had incredible weather and have gotten to to spend a lot of time out and about. That said, this week is supposed to be crappy. Boo Hoo.
